• Based on the two previous answers and previous use by myself, the answer is yes.
• I am not sure if there is a direct import or link between Toast 12 and iMovie like there was with iDVD, but 'sharing' the iMovie clip to a disk file on your desktop will easily allow you to add that movie to a Toast 12 project. The three things that I was disappoint with after purchasing Toast 12 Titanium were (1) audio clips can't be added to the front end menu, (2) audio clips can't be added to a slideshow, and (3) there are no transitions available for use with slideshows.

• I know that it will not work on an older MacBook pro that is running Yosemite.

• I have it loaded a 5K mac, yosemite, but have yet to use it. Normally, if it was not going to work I would have gotten a can't load message. As for previous OS versions, it should work. I will look on the box later this evening and send another message if toast 12 is exclusive.

QUESTION: I NEED TO BURN A LOT OF H.264 FILES IN FINAL CUT PRO 7 THAT I NEED TO AUTHOR ONTO A BLURAY DISC. COMPRESSOR WILL ONLY BURN ONE FILE AT A TIME.
• I would call roxio to clarify before purchase. I was able to burn 3 files to one DVD(that's all my project had). However, I'm not a techy and not familiar with h.264 files. I thought Roxio was pretty slow, I had 1 hour and 42 min to burn to DVD and it took several hours. But then again, I have nothing to compare it to. I was happy with final product. Sorry I don't know more.
• Toast will tell you approximately how large the files you want to put on the Blu Ray are based on the options you selected (Video/Audio Bitrates) So if your disk is 8 GB you drag the files into the encoding section and it calculates how much of the disk will be used by each file and allow you to tweak the bitrates so that the files will fit.

• you can encode non copy protected content to an iso image. Toast will by default use it's proprietary format. To burn to a standard iso you would use disc utility and create an iso then in toast do a file conversion writing the contents to the iso as mp4, m4v, dvd format, etc.

• Hi Jacqueline. Toast Titanium 12 will not do this. It does not include a way to capture the program material from the VHS tapes and transfer it into the memory of the computer. Roxio may have other products that would allow you to plug the output from a VHS player into your computer and do this capturing but you would have to purchase it separately. Malcolm Heimer
• to convert VHS to DVD, you need either Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac, or EyeTV HD
• A product called 'Vidbox for Mac' will take care of the capture from VHS or other source for you. It is a smail box that comes with cables and such and is available here on Amazon.

• Yes it does, but I fought out that DVD FAB does a much better job on blue rays when it comes to copy on blue rays.....still use the toast 12 to write regular dvd---much faster----but anything to do with blue ray the dvd fab does much better job....dvd fab will tell you how to by pass the copy write and the toast 12 won't ?????

• yes you do need a plugin to write AVCHD camcorders and EyeTV recordings into playable content for other devices outside of your Mac or if you want to burn Blu- Ray discs you do need the codec plugin. Roxio Toast 12 is 'capable' but on their website there is the might asterisk that informs you 'Authoring Blu-ray Discs requires the purchase of Blu-ray Disc Plug-In.'
